Nov 12, 2020 Sometimes known as Cuckoo, Ranter Go Round, or by the somewhat unflattering name of ‘Screw Your Neighbor,’ Chase the Ace is one of the classic card games that everyone has heard of but few know how to play. That’s where we come in.

  • For chase the ace you will need: Pack of cards; The object of the game: Get rid of all your cards first. How to play chase the ace: Ideally this game is played with 3 or more players. YC and I played it as just us two, but it wasn’t as fun as with a larger group. Start by taking out all the jokers and 3 of the aces. Deal all the cards to everyone.
  • When the Ashby Legion began its fourth Chase the Ace fundraiser in May 2015, they didn't know what was about to hit them. The local legion branch held three previous Chase the Ace events, but they could never get past the 13th card. However, what they didn't know was this time, the popular game would go well beyond the 13th card.

The Gregory Dallas Chamber of Commerce will host a “Chase the Ace” promotional event starting March 1st.

One can purchase $5 tickets each week to be entered (tickets will be thrown out each week) and one ticket will be drawn each week

That person gets to draw a card (if they aren’t at the drawing, someone will draw for them) and if it’s the Ace of Spades they win 50% of the entire pot from all ticket sales.

Otherwise they win 10% of that week’s ticket sales and the remainder goes in the pot this event could continue for 54 weeks.
